I believe it was the 707, of which the heavies version is almost as heavy as 767. So based on 2 "tests", the design performed, or even exceeded the spec.

The towers should be and will be rebuilt. It is part of the healing process - of our national pride and self confidence.

Agreed 100%. Otherwise, every comment about New York skyline would be:
"This is where the twin towers of WTC used to be"
instead of:
"Look, this is the new WTC, the tallest building in the world"

Also, any victory over the America's foes will not be complete until the new WTC is open for business.

PS: actually, there were some reports that the lease-holder of the WTC wants to do just that - rebuild.
