The Allies themselves should have put some teeth behind the war crimes tribunals by trying at least Air Chief Marshal Sir Arthur Harris, Colonel Curtis E. LeMay, Churchill, and Truman for war crimes, with regards to the deliberate fire bombing of Germany and Japan. I might even have supported the trial of MacArthur for his strategy of bypassing Islands and leaving the Japanese to starve. But it would have served no purpose to try FDR posthumously, and as much as I despise the Bush's, I see no justification for advocating the trial of George Bush Sr.
