According to Sheraton, none of their hotels raised rates:

Please check our web site for a formal press announcement to be released soon. In the interim, please be aware of the following points:

1. No Sheraton hotels in the area have doubled their prices or engaged in any form of price gouging.

2. Moreover, in no way have Sheraton hotels of New York charged above their standard published rates which were in effect prior to the events which occurred in the city.

3. All of the New York-area Sheratons are committed to working closely with FEMA, the Firemen's Association, and other government agencies in an effort to reduce the impact of the World Trade Center incident.
