Granted dictators always existed before the US became a major power. But the security bureaucracies capitalized on an existing feature of the continent and use it for thier own purposes. Had not the Cold War existed with every bureaucrat telling the US people that there a communist under everyone's bed, dictatorship would not have survived for as long as it did. Power corrupts. It is a fact. It is in the interest of all of us to make known that the 'security' and 'defecne' bureaucracies are inimical of stability and peace. They have to be curtailed. Kept in tight leash and be subject of very close scrutiny.
