but EVEN if we talked with their leaders, their underlings will carry on misdoings and leaders will deny any involvement...publicly I tend to agree with this. It is unlikely any of the current crop of Ladenites will have a Road to Damascus experience, so deal with them as necessary. Understanding the root causes isn't going to help at all with those guys. It's the next generation where it can help. An appropriate response is necessary, but don't kid yourself, force alone will not rid us of this threat. Just ask the Russians about their Chechnyan experience...
