On a intraday basis, lower lows have been set below the APRIL LOWs on all the indices. As you mentioned LOWER LOWs are negative signs, since it implies that the downtrend is still intact.

Having said the obvious, it is not uncommon that that SUCCESSFUL RETESTs take the form of slightly LOWER LOWs. That doesnt mean that its THE BOTTOM, but that a significant rally could start. Need to see how the market closes first to get a better idea.

edit: Just wanted to add that when I say a significant rally, Im implying to at least a FIB rebound of the recent selloff, but not necessarily a HIGHER HIGH, which of course would be more positive.
