The guy behind that smear is Robert Scheer of the LATimes, apparently he was and may still be, a Marxist. He certainly appears have remained faithful to his religion: ...Scheer, however, said that he would talk on the record about only one topic - the only topic that mattered - the realization of the socialist utopia in Kim Il Sung's North Korea.... frontpagemag.com His columns appear to remarkable for their lies and distortions. He did write a book, celebrating Castro's revolution.
