they will have to focus primarily on the large caps.

probably not good for the smaller caps.

plus the next few months, liquidity issues may force market participants to the larger caps from the smaller caps. nobody wants to hold a large position on an illiquid stock during times of uncertainty.

well, i think they achieved what they wanted.

they managed to prevent another 1987-type crash (-22%), and i think thats the best they could hope/aim for.

without the intervention we would definitely have seen minus 15-20%. who knows about tomorrow though.

holy crap, us airways just announced they would be cutting 11,000 jobs.
