strong parallel between WTC attack and Japan's Kobe earthquake
in 1994 Japan suffered a terrible earthquake
in the ensuing days and weeks, the Japanese Yen shot up
and its stock market rose in value sharply

money returned home to Japan
insurance companies suffered for sure
Japan is different, with so many foreign assets abroad
it had to come home to pay for widespread repairs and claims

wondering how any similarities might play out with our stock market and USdollar
we could see the opposite, since so many US assets are at home
liquidation by insurance carriers will not be preceded by "bringing the money home"
