Les, did you think for a second the French, Germans, or Italians would stand by us? I have absolutely no respect for those governments. I hope this teaches us once and for all who our true friends are.

As a German-American, I'm embarrassed and disappointed at Germany's unwillingness to fulfill (their part of the bargain of) the NATO agreement from which they have so benefitted for many years...

Not that their troops are really needed, but politically, it would make a helluva a better statement to moderate Middle Eastern states..

Who would have thought it: Iran and Russia being a better "allies" than Germany and France. ??

Les, maybe we should talk to China & Russia and suggest that they and US take over the entire ME and split the oil equally -g- We can charge the europeans extra for " our" oil. Mike
