DJ CIBC's Holman: Power Tech Stks In Process Of Bottoming

11 Sep 08:30

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Power-technology stocks, battered amid a technology
selloff across the board, are in the process of touching bottom, CIBC World
Markets analyst Hugh Holman told CNBC Tuesday.

Among Holman's picks are energy generator Calpine Corp. (CPN) and
electrochemical-technology specialist FuellCell Energy (FCEL).

"Deregulation changes everything," Holman said, with individual consumers for
the first time being able to chose what kind of power to buy and from which
generator.

The change pushes up demand for new power-oriented technologies, he said.
