Very disheartening. Obviously CPQ is in greater trouble than we thought and all MC could do was to preserve his job by allowing Compaq to be bought out by another sick company. What is the buyout down to now? This company is being stolen!

I read your comments on Silicon Invester and thought that you should know how Compaq has responded to the recent tragities.
contributed $225,000 to the Jeff Coombs Education Fund in honor of Compaq employee Jeff Coombs, who died aboard American Airlines Flight 11

contributed $1 million in cash and equipment to the recovery and relief efforts

also providing equipment to the American Red Cross in Greater New York to establish a storage area network, which will help manage data on those who are deceased, missing and displaced.

Compaq Canada donated $100,000 in notebooks to assist collaborative relief efforts

Not to mention setup of command centers to support customers affected in the NY area.
