I am not saying that we shouldn't make a stand. I only say that we should do it in a grown-up, effective way. Problem solving must always stay the overall aim. And we'd should better think 10 times befere we act. The terrorist can't run away. The most effective thing we can do to unite the states in the world and to enable them to fight terrorism. We have to care about the rights and problems of these countries if we want their governments to cooperate with us - because otherwise these governments will not have support of their peoples. Only a combination of force and dialogue and help will set the relevant countries in a condition under which terrorism can be contained. The "excuses" that the extremists use to justify their crimes must be rendered absurd. If we want to win we must also prove we are really better then them. I simply think this is the way we must fight this "war" if losses are to be minimized - and we have much more to lose than the bombed-out third world countries.
