Bonnie, I haven't and won't criticize W. It'd be nice to have somebody a little more seasoned and engaged with the world there, but I think W at least knows when he's out of his depth. Between Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Powell there's not a shortage of experienced people at the top who know how to handle things.

My wife has noticed that W's smirk suppression conditioning seems to have slipped a little, but the guy's stressed. Guiliani, on the other hand, who has his own problems, seems to be handling things really well, and getting praise from everybody. Empathy helps, and Rudy's recent travails have probably made him a little reflective.
