It is the fireman's job to run into buildings. It is the president's job to command and control from safe quarters.

How dense are you?

Convienient little irony you've created for yourself. I'm not the least bit surprised you're still focused on "partisan politics". Frankly, I'm not even surprised you would use the bravery and sacrafice of these brave souls to further your political agenda.

I'm not fooled by your proclamations. Your motive is transperant.

The facts are emerging.

Counterfeit security badges and credentials are readily available for sale on the Internet and other public sources and could be used by criminals, terrorists, and foreign spies to gain access to secure government buildings and airports. GAO's undercover agents acquired fictitious law enforcement badges and tried to gain access to secure government facilities. These agents were 100 percent successful in penetrating 19 federal sites and two commercial airports. GAO entered 18 of the 21 sites on its first attempt; the other three sites required a second visit before GAO was able to penetrate them.

You are trying to justify your poorly timed and unfounded attack on President Bush's strategy DURING and IMMEDIATELY AFTER an unknown attack on our country and the capitol. Just admit that it was not the right thing to do.

Your lengthy explanation in the post I am responding to indicates that you, on the outside, knew how to handle the President's safety better than he and his security advisors.

That is extremely arrogant at the very least. Quit defending your action and stop attacking the people who were (and are) offended by it. Please.

Yes, Cheney told him to head there. Sure, there were
risks; being President always entails risk. Going where
it is perfectly safe is perfectly understandable, and all
too human. But you know know what? "Firemen run into
buildings." And I was hoping for, and expecting more
from President Bush. Presidents run to Washington.

Yeah, you were hoping he would run into the White House in time for the plane to land on his head.

That you are transparent is obvious....but you are something else...something like an arsonist.

I see you also wish Bush "does well" but you do not wish "him" well. Pathetic.

Oh and one more thought on the subject. As a defender of the President at this time I am comfortable there are no traitors amongst my ranks. I am also comfortable there are amongst yours as a detractor.

I have not called anyone as traitor and in fact defended flapjack (who I idealogically oppose) from this accusation. Likewise I am not accusing you of this heinous crime. Indeed I reserve the right to be critical of the President if I believe his actions are endangering my countrymen.

I can gaurantee you though, it will not be the nitpicky kind of bullshit you want to focus on.

Right now, he is doing a great job and I'm glad we agree on that!!
