1. Only the United States has the power, and perhaps now the free hand, to break the back of terrorism.

2. We will not be sending Stingers to Afghanistan, or setting up training camps in Pakistan, etc.

3. We will not primarily be bombing, unless the target is military.

4. Yes, there are a lot of terrible schools indoctrinating Muslim children. Maybe breaking the back of terrorism will cause them to be defunded, who knows?

5. The reason we lost in Vietnam was that we got sucked into a war of attrition. If we had attacked North Vietnam, we would have won. Similarly, we need to attack sponsoring states, base camps, and any other infrastructure we can find, whether by direct military assault or special operations units.......

1. You are WRONG!! Israel has been very successful in their fight with terrorism! The very existence of Israel is proof of that success. Do you honestly think, if Israel were to become passive, that the attacks would cease? More likely, terrorists will stop, when the last Jew is driven into the Med.

2. I don't know what the President has in mind.

3. Afghanistan is not in the stone age

4. Only pulling all American troops (and business) from the Middle East and the ending of all support for Israel, will stop these people from hating the U.S..

5. As America has responded to terrorism tit for tat, Terrorist have gone for larger and larger targets, ever increasing the cost of lives. What makes you think, that if we leave Bin Laden alone, he'll now leave us alone? Unlike Vietnam, the United States has no choice but to win this.

I feel for your friend from India and his family, I know how it feels. The teachers, Administration, parents, and students all need to stand up against this.

Israel was drawn into a mr. bill feel good build my legacy sludge. Forced is more likely than drawn. America had staunch supporters of Israel the democracy of the middle east. But mr. bill and friends were not so supportive.

The ability of terrorist cells to operate freely relies on being overlooked and not challenged in many places in the world.

It appears that even these attacks might have been prevented with just a few folks being more aware.

Ultimately these individual have a blind faith and that is ultimately why they cannot remain invisible. Extremists are not liked by anyone. Hell vacant liberal minds can't tolerate average honesty never mind extreme honesty.

The extreme elements are tolerated by most of these societies only because they do not have the resources to destroy them. There is a new game in play today.

Those are issues to ponder 3rd. What may I ask do you think we do in response? Your post makes it look like we should just let it go. I am most curious if that is correct, or if you have some other great idea that the leaders of our nation have been unable to think of.

"issues to ponder"

What do you suggest. Just let it pass and maybe next time it's anthrax or a nuke.
