What were your expectations? He's the CEO of the country, not a worker bee.

A bitterly divided congress has shown solidarity in support of President Bush's leadership during this emergency. In times of external crisis, it's appropriate to disregard political interests in deference to the broader interests of the nation. I'd be pleased to see this forum adhere to that convention.

Thomas,

What concrete actions *has* he taken that he initiated or shaped?

I live about five miles from the Pentagon. The eeriest feeling I've personally had in the last week -- thanks to the fact that I haven't suffered the personal loss that so many are enduring -- was seeing military planes in the sky protecting the community I live in, knowing the president gave the pilots the authority in certain situations to take out any airplanes including commercial planes carrying U. S. citizens.

I'm not going to go down the long list of other concrete actions that he has taken.
