LOL, X. I like the detective/courtroom dramas ...

... for leisure entertainment and often rebuy the same damned paperback by Steve Martini or Scott Turow or John Sandford or James Lee Burke or Robert Tannenbaum a few months after I read it via the library.

These publishers are tricky. -g- They 'reintroduce' older novels by same authors ... Larry McMurtry as well stumps me often.

When I like one, I read them all.

But then I get confused with the new releases.

Sign of age, at minimum, in my case.

At least that's my rationalization.

I sometimes read the first page of a book I think is new and think "wait, this sounds familiar",

Sometimes authors will include the first chapter of their next book. I make a point of never reading it so I don't get confused and think I've read the whole book. There are advantages and disadvantages to a faulty memory.
