It's the 21st century now. There are no such islands.

How about East Timor- with citizenship elsewhere and compensation granted to existing individuals living there not included in the terrorist catagory.

There are many islands, much smaller than New Zealand capable of being put to use. New Zealand is far too pretty and valuable to forgoe. It might also be possible to create an island, which would be a truly monumental undertaking.

And some islands, subject to liquefaction in the event of an earthquake, well if it's Allah's will.... <g>

It's the 21st century now. There are no such islands with the possible exception of Antarctica ??
