RE:"I fear that there are 100s of thousands if not millions who approve, and would have done the same, but they just don't have the capability, organizational skills"

No fear involved, there are millions.

Most Arab countries are only our friends to a point.
I expect there was a lot of butt slapping going on when the WTC collapsed.

Maybe if you saw on your way to work 10s, if not 100s of handwritten notes all over New York City (bus stops, street lights, store windows), as I did from relatives, children, spouse, parents, with photographs of missing people glued of them, I think you would worry more that there will not be another 5,000 next week, instead of worrying about some politically correct mumbo jumbo.
-----------------------------------

Jozef, I'll repeat what I had said in a post:

I have friends and contacts, a lot of friends, that were either in the WTC, or around it, (as in, inside the twins, and also inside the first building next door, and the 3rd building next door, and down the road and all around it.)

Many of my friends that were involved in this horrible attack are Jewish, and they don't share your blanket racism towards Muslims and Arabs. Their anger and pain is managed, channeled appropriately. They are angry at terrorists, not innocent people.

You can't give excuses. There's no excuse to being racist.

Your pain, which you are most understandably feeling, is not an excuse.

What can we do to help you heal your pain? How can folks help?

So Joe, what should we do???

Should we attack Palestine? Should we attack Afghanistan all out??? Even though there is not even a solid majority in Afghanistan that supports the Taliban (even in Taliban controlled territory)??? I guess the central question is, "how far should we go?" What would suit you in this case? Is collateral damage acceptable? Is it okay to take out a few innocents so long as we nail those responsible????

Joe, <You may be right that there are only few hundred who are capable of doing this, but I fear that there are 100s of thousands if not millions who approve, and would have done the same, but they just don't have the capability, organizational skills.>

At least the good news is that those who "approve" have the capacity to change sides and embrace better ideals. The bad news is that many of them will never have the chance. One only has to look at Germany and Japan during and after WWII to see my point.

Joe, <<<I think you would worry more that there will not be another 5,000 next week, instead of worrying about some politically correct mumbo jumbo.>>>

I am not as naive as you may think. I know for instance there are many non arab, all American Christian type people ( I don't want to put a number on it and also because I don't know how many there are) who actually hate Jews for absolutely no sane reason. Fortunately for all of us, these people will never act out this craziness.

Jews, Italians, Irish among others have all known hate and have been objects of insane type of hate. This has been going on for quite some time. However, America is the only place, and perhaps the last place, where hatred has a chance to be ended. A place where the cycle of violence ends.

We don't need the same type of thinking that has been going on in the rest of the world. We need to keep our core values. We must keep our core values. The accomplishments of our founding fathers will not be in vain.
