Most important statistic of the day: 4.89 billion shares traded. Grasso, Giuliani, and company are heroes. I spent part of the weekend poring over the situation maps the City of New York posted on its web site. It was a Herculean effort just to maintain utilities and communications around Wall Street. Nearly one-hundred million "Cubes" traded, in spite of the loss of AMEX infrastructure. The center held. Damn the prices, the center held. P. p.s. L'shanah tovah!
