"Duh" is what the teenagers say when another teenager says something so self-obvious that it's not worth saying, like "we have serious problems." My point is that the serious problems hurting the market today are not the economy.

Multiply the loss of Bill Meehan by several thousand. Think what that means to the financial industry.

At the opening, one of the NYC big-shots on the floor with Giulani and Pataki et al was a guy in charge of the NY pension fund. He announced that he would be buying "a substantial amount of stocks" during the day, can't give the numbers of course, can't tip our hand, blah blah. Wonder if he marched in from the street and started shouting "Buy 'Em!" in every direction like his "predecessor".
