The United States has already deployed up to 50 agents, including some from the Special Forces, in Pakistan, Western and Pakistani sources told AFP today. The majority of the agents arrived overnight Thursday and early Friday when Islamabad airport was closed mysteriously for five hours,, the sources said. The Americans are involved in advance liaison work and the selection of Pakistani officers to work with them in preparation for possible military operations in or against neighbouring Afghanistan. They are also carrying out research, notably on the feasibility of getting troops into Afghanistan. The last secret war by Pakistan and US was fought in Afghanistan from 1978-88, the old connections are alive today, as delivery time approaches Pakistan once again against all odds and propaganda will deliver this thing, I am very confident, no backing off, the Generals are ready and have given their words, and all of them are most liberal and moderates. The Army is united to go and get it. It is highly professional Army and has the ability to deliver; a very pragmatic leader presently leads it. I have been against his policy on Kargil and have written that but he has learnt a lot from that disaster and knows what does a war means. On courage don’t underestimate him; he will do what he has promised. Go back to 11th Oct 1999 when he took over I was against him, as a democrat I had no other choice today I stand beside him. Every moderate Pakistani does that, media does not want to show that.
