Hi John:

I'm quite optimistic on the tech sector of the market. I was 90% invested a week from Friday and am now over 95% (I've never reached 100% and this is about as close as I get). So far it appears I'm too early (all positions in the red and yes I still have some cmrc from 19 so WDIK) but there are bargains out there. My purchase today was strictly in emlx. I'm quite high on the storage sector.

Certain sectors and companies should be avoided with last Tuesdays events and with the layoff announcements to come out of transport, lodging, gaming over the next few weeks the consumer will be on vacation so other sectors may take a hit.

The positives will be the tax cut, increased federal spending (the $40B is just a start to bringing down the surplus), rate cuts and the continued drop in energy prices.

I don't believe Afganastan will be Bush & America's Waterloo / Vietnam. Actually I believe the US can and will achieve its objective of serving justice on OSB (eliminating terrorism is a separate matter, I'm sure I'll disagree with Bush on this one down the road). With OSB I hope its summary justice since we do not need a trial on the scale of an OJ. Nor does OBL need the publicity.

Cheeny, Powell & Bush know some action needs to be taken sooner rather than later. As more body bags are used our resolve only strengthens. I think they only wait to make sure their actions do not destablize our allies governments.

We always see who our true allies are in these times of crisis. England, Canada, Australia, Israel so far. I hope Germany, Pakistan, India, China and others join the fray. The Russians can just stay out of our way. The French continue to amaze me.
