Thanks for the thoughtful post JF. I was curious what 3rd would do, because his post made it look like we should do nothing (although I don't think he meant that).

That said, I believe that carpet bombing or nuking Afghanistan is the last thing we should do. I am extremely heartened by the methodical response we seem to be taking and I am CONFIDENT we can get to Bin Laden and to many of the terrorist cells with the leaders we currently have in place. A combination of our military and intelligence along with international cooperation from our allies and the moderated Arab states will get the job done.

I personally believe the media is getting out of control with the notion that they must get the news before something even is news. ie What will you do if....

They should go back to reporting what has happened and to analyze it instead of posturing about what might happen and then speculating about how we will react to it or whether we will succeed.

I have not seen any reports that America is planning to carpet bomb or anything else. Just talking heads that are not as smart and all knowing as they think they are speculating about it.

I also think that for the most part the news anchors should be a little more respectful with their questions.

Thanks for your thoughts.
