Doug, that is the worst case scenario for the US. Can't afford to get Bin Laden before wiping out his support first. Even if Pakistan gets the Taliban to hand him over on a plate, we just have to say "Not right now, we'll take him off your hands next year".

Welcome home Ike !

Interesting question, need to think openly, some issue you have raised may have been answered from my perspective in my previous post, I am so mentally tired, this all has impacted me very badly in terms of my so called optimism hope theory, it is in the gutters right now, I am picking myself together, understanding the complexities and trying to see what makes a man so evil?? The evil that man does in present age could not be possible at this level in my thinking, the hope has just died. Let me go to bed I freshen up and tomorrow morning as my spirits will be better I will answer this more comprehensively.

If Bin Laden made it to a US jail he'd never survive to get his day in court IMHO.

That is a good point that he could be a bigger hero for his fellow terrorists once he is terminated.

Time to buy germ warfare gear and train my dog to sniff for bombs...
