Hi Papaya King; Somehow it's not at all surprising that Ayn Rand and Harry Browne would end up in complete disagreement on the killing of "innocent" civilians in military operations.

I guess if a country ever wanted to take advantage of another nation's compunction to not target "civilians", the way to do it would be to make their army a civilian one. Oh my, that's what the terrorists did.

Harry Browne and many other folks are living in the past, when this time it is truly different. We do not have the luxury of time on our side as we did in many past wars.
Once these radical suicidal misguided people get their hands on a nuclear weapon, it's all over.... The clock is ticking, and time is not on our side.

PK, That's the best thing Harry has written since he convinced me to buy silver half dollars in 1974. Another $5 an oz on silver prices and I'll break even on those. <g>
Actually, Harry got me in but Bunker and Nelsonn Hunt helped me get out at a huge profit.
