This brings up an ugly side of the liberal bay area though. The guy that had the flag presented to him for Burnett got up and walked out of the ceremony when one of the speakers (a black minister, not sure who he was) spoke at the podium and laid blame on our way of life and lifestyle ("our position in the world order helped cause this" is how he put it). He was on stage and abruptly walked off. Told the news people that Burnett did not die for our country so this jackass could blame the U.S. for it. He was close to tears. Only one news org covered this as far as I can tell. Not in the papers this morning. Not on KRON channel 4, which is one of our majors. Same channel that reported on people not reciveving a tax rebate, but failing to mention that the people who don't paid no taxes. Note - this could be a different event than what you discuss. But it was a major ceremony with Grey Davis, Di Fi, Boxer and other dem illuminaries. Over 5,000 in attendance when Burnett and America and America were blasted by this idiot.
