I struggle with some of Graham's statements in recent years too. He does, however, continue to preach the Gospel. He never waivers from that. I think he sometimes bends over backwards to "accomodate" as not to offend and lessen those that might otherwise go to hear the real message. I tend to think the statements like you point out perhaps only irritate current discerning believers, so the damage is not too great. Those that find no offence to such statements, may go ahead and go to a Graham rally or other Christian event because Graham did NOT offend them, and they may get saved. I don't really know. I am just speculating and giving the benefit of the doubt to Graham -- trying to think what he may be thinking. Then again, perhaps some people like him will be used unknowingly by the great deceiver to pull off the final deception?

I remain,

SOROS

“Now listen, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.’ Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, ‘If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.’”

James 4:14
