Papaya King, Jesus never said we are not to fight for that which we hold precious. Recall these words of his,.. And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. Matt 11:12. Nowhere do we see him reproving anyone here but it does appear rather as an exhortation to fight for something very much worthwhile. Also by reading this we must concur that those who are not violent either go without or even lose that which they once had. Same holds true here, if Americans are not willing to fight for their nation they will go without. If a burglar stole into your home and was going to hurt your unprotected loved one, do you think God would smile upon you if you didn't defend them?

Chris

How does one reconcile the feeling of needing to "do something" in response versus trying to be a good Christian? Does the thought alone of killing the offenders make me guilty of the sin in this case?

I have measures of protection for my home and loved ones and if it came down to protecting them, I would, without thinking. However, what will I have done in the eyes of God?

Tough questions are being raised now. I am not sure even the clergy can answer some of these.

OT.

I was surprised to see Billy Grahm retract or modify his statements inre America being responsible for this action. If he truly believes that, he should stand by it.
