I hope I don't have to prove my patriotic credentials by agreeing with everything that FAA is doing.

The new security measures would not have stopped the highjackings. Box cutters have less metal than dentures. Next time they will use pens, forks, bomb threats, etc.

The new security measures are mostly related to luggage handling. They slow-down the air travel, reduce airport capacity and hurt the economy, which is just fine with Osama.
