The Taliban has announced Jihad against the U.S.,so anyone harboring any illussion that the Taliban aren't strong allies of AlQuetta and Bin-Laden--time to wake-up.
Saw Nikkei suddenly dropped from plus 350 to plus 175--reason reportedly to be a bomb scare in Japan.
I watched the NBC focus on the WStreet workers going back to work, and they must be applauded,it was an act of moving on in the face of despair, shock and feeling fear at where they are located(and why not).
Good to hear Bush come out and announce those harassing moslems should "feel shame for their behavoir".
We now know that if Tuesday attack was a failure there was back-up plan---only good thing is we appear to know what the plan was--but this information won't be released.
That policeman who appers to be the only survivor of those within the the towers at the time of collapse remains an astounding story. He was on the 80th floor when the collapse occurred(i don't know which tower)--he had gotten there with his police dog. That he was found ,unharmed, except for a few abrasions is incredible, beyond comprehension.
I, looking for one possible remote reason,is that possibly he was just above the collapse point, and somehow "floated" down on some back draft/force just above the crashing mass---but that only a wild guess..
We need start facing the possibility that these towers incredibly may have to become a Natinal Memorium grave site(and thus never rebuilt) as with the The USS Arizona, following Pearl Harbor. The indications are maybe more than a thousand were simply vaporized or pulverized,as we are now finding what were steel girders that are now just metallic dust.
I read the description of events by the man that was the lead supervisor of building the Twin Towers and on building the Towers they drew the worst possible case scenario. And they knew that was the one matter nothing could withstand, and that was a Jumbo Jet FILLED with fuel making a direct hit on a tower. He emphasizes,it wasn't the impact that brought those towers down,it was the massive heat from the explosion/fire that literally melted steel.Paxmax p.s. from Gretchen Morgenson column in Sunday's NYT <<Let me now hail just a few of the missing thousands.

Gary Koecheler, a bond broker at Euro Brokers Inc., was a man of huge heart, faithfulness and total honesty. A Vietnam veteran, Gary always did the right thing, especially for his family, which includes me. The sort of man who would be among the last out of a burning building, after helping others escape.>> this trajedy has reached many.
