tekboy, go read the FAQ. Considering that I have no questions, why should I read the FAQ? That was a rhetorical question. One is not obliged to be joshingly curmudgeonly about the world, only about one's threadmates. Speaking of obligations doesn't pass the laugh test. Very few posts in the folder are in keeping with the content specified by the thread header. But don't bother reading it. I appoint Frank to handle all posts directed to me in my absence. Agreed. I just wish it was question of supplementation rather than substitution. subordinate selection, team building and motivation are the very essence of military leadership. military staff is trained to: evaluate the situation. consider every option. begin to draw up the operational plan. advise the commander on the situation and his options. assist the commander in selecting the most likely option to succeed. prepare the final plan. supervise the execution of that plan in accordance with the commander's decision. so far the program is working flawlessly. iaw with the first sentence above that means W has and is doing a helluva job. he selected the team. comparing Giuliano and W's jobs is not even apples and oranges... G's job is to fix what is broken. G can stand in the midst of the smoldering ruins of his city and promote firemen, comfort survivors, beg for and get federal $...all of which will propel him to political hero status locally. i doubt that citizens in oregon see G as a hero. i do compliment NYC on their selection of G as the person to look up to right now...they had other choices. W 's job is to bring the perps to justice and deploy our armed forces and and other federal assets to make sure it doesn't happen again. i believe he is currently between step 5 and 6. i propose that you and the others who are unhappy with W's and his team's job performance provide us with your selection of a leader and national defense team. tell us who you would prefer to rally behind. who you would like to see planning the response. uw@ican'twaitforthisanswer
