What happens to consumer confidence if there is another significant terrorist attack in the US in a month? or two months?

Does anyone think that terrorist attacks in the US are over? Or just "transient" ?

Very interesting. Do you really think that the effect of this on the consumer is just transient? Obviously there will be some big impacts on airlines and tourism, but what about things like cars and luxury items?

I have been saying right along I believe it to be transient. Not in tourism. That will be a lasting fear. I believe people will spend on entertainment products for use at home. Possibly DVD player and movies may increase in sales. Eating out more often at the local restaurants, etc.
