"I don't know what that means. In the US I've been stopped for a burnt out taillight. As a younger person,
hitchhiking through the US the police stopped me and searched through my belongings because I had long hair. My son's car was stopped and searched, best we could determine, he fit a "profile". Are these serious reasons. I suppose either my son or I could have objected to the search as a violation of our Constitutional rights.

I take the bus everywhere so that is probably why I've never had trouble with autos and the police.
Racial profiling has been a big issue in this country recently.

I belonged to an HMO once. It was horrible. As far as medical bills, recently I heard that a very large
number are submitted incorrectly to insurance agencies. The percentage was very high, higher than you
would expect, but I don't recall the exact number.

I don't know what has happened to the Canadian health care system in recent years, but when I lived
there the problem was that there were not enough specialists even internists, and many doctors left the
country for the US where they made more money.

I've often had to wait four to six weeks to see a very, very good doctor in the US as well, and many doctors,
especially female doctors, have closed their practices to new patients.

Now, we have a serious shortage of teachers in the public school. The situation is so bad here that some
areas offered the teachers a place to live because the teachers didn't make enough money to live in
those areas. Frankly, I believe teachers are just as important as doctors to society. The doctors have
more clout because they make more money.
