I keep hearing about the financial relief to the victims. I wonder how many really need the financial relief? Just a thought. Most of these people worked in above average paying jobs and were likely financially sound with adequate insurance.

Now don't jump all over me but these people are frankly not in need of financial support nearly as much as so many other groups of people in the USA. Take a drive through the poor areas of your city. Go to a public housing project and see the squlid conditions. These people need help also among many others but I just wonder if donating money to this particular segment of the cause may be knee jerk and not well thought out.

If you want to donate to the cause donate to the Red Cross or groups involved that help everyone in the USA.
I would guess that the bulk of these people killed have been adequately insured and will leave their families looked after. Given that the death was accidental that would make the insurance payouts even more.

I think they need help and support but that money can be better spent on support in non monettary ways - OR

If you are going to donate money - Donate to another cause in the USA In memory of the victims.

Once again it is just something that I wanted to pointout - Perhaps any monies collected could be funneled to those who for whatever reason were not adequately insured.

Based on my work experiences I was often carry 500k to 1MM in insurance just through work in addition to another 500k outside of work.

I pray for those families and I think about them but I dont think they need what little money I have.

Food for thought.
