I don't know of any modern-day religion that does.

PERVERSIONS of every religion have been used regularly
to support all kinds of political and economic goals.

Similarly, HATE of another forms no part of any modern-day
religion that I know of, but is regularly grafted on to
perverted-religion as a major motivator.

A common theme of most religions is "oneness with the
Divine", the Divine as "Creator/preserver/destroyer,
God as the benign Father, God as the Divine Mother, and so
on. That kind of base does not fit too well with
"eye-for-an-eye, tooth-for-a tooth.

Neither does it fit too well with: THOU SHALT NOT KILL,
presumably a value most of us in the West give some
credence to.

I haven't looked recently, but I never remember any footnotes that say, (relative to THOU SHALT NOT KILL):

Exception 1:
Exception 322: etc.
(New ones each week from our political & cultural leaders)

Perverted religion is a great tool for power seekers of
all stripes, races, nations.

Namaste!
