My guess is we're near the end of the 2nd stage of the bear....still have the one where everyone throws in the towel and where equities are widely shunned (and I agree, the "New Economy"...of restricted travel and trade due to the war will need to be fully priced in in the next stage). Valuations will again return to historical norms or better, as will debt levels. It will take more than a few months, IMO. That's not to say some groups won't do well in it, however.

Oh I certainly agree with you. I am still very heavy on the short side using BEARX, and the only reason I sold my Dow puts was to have cash to buy them back in case of a bear market rally--or rather, to replace the December 2002's with 2003's.
