marginmike,

It seems to me that countries in the EU as well as the 'moderate" arab nations have no conception of the economic ramifications of letting terrorists have their way. how will Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Mexico and others cope with a structural decline in oil demand? Do you think the Saudi "government" will remain stable if they have to get used to "permanent" deficits? How can countries like France, England, etc., cope with decreased tourism, etc. It's a no-win situation for everyone EXCEPT the terorists. If these countries only realized how much (economically) it will cost them to let terrorism run unabated they will come around quickly to our way of thinking. On a side note let me say that despite my best efforts, I just don't feel all that confident with Bush running the show. He is good at one liners and in calling for a minute of silence or prayer but I just don't trust his smarts.
