what is happening here is insane, and even worse is that most economists seem to think it's a good thing...e.g., the huge government spending packages being introduced are supposed to "help the economy in the long run" according to one economist i heard talk today. in WHAT WAY??? if the government borrows money, it takes the money from the efficient, wealth-generating private sector, and it ends up as government waste and consumption...how does that 'help the economy in the long run'? the opposite is true! and yet all these myths are propagated with impunity while the government goes about punishing savers and further debauching the currency.

got gold?
