No but SI can terminate those who try to disseminate private information about others with harmful intent and that is the matter of this issue. It has nothing to do with shorting or going long. Expect to have your membership terminated.

SGTP, Shorters/hedge funds etc...have and still do play an important part of the balance of trade re: liquidity for stock valuations. We have the uptick rule to protect an onslaught of sellers, note "sellers" not short sellers. The recent horrific events have brought out some ugliness around the chat rooms. Once again, your words as well as many others here over patriotism have been noted. I did not short, nor call any shorts here or on the p-site, as I felt it was prudent not to do so. Often, short covering are actually the only buyers out there. That been said, the small audiance that we here on these chatlines curtail too, are so small as to make it insignificant to any stock price effect. WE can only guess, and with some luck, out guess what fund managers and investment banks, as well as the masses are thinking. Talking about thinking, I urge all to think before they write in these troubling times. This site is not moderated for a reason, however, recent unsubstantiated attacks on myself and other individuals have certainly impacted significantly our ability to be true to our cause. Please obey our wishes... S
