indeed. first they accommodated and aided and abetted the biggest bubble in human history, and now all sorts of interventionist tactics must be employed to fight its demise. btw., i believe that Greenboink erroneously thought that the '87 BK and the S&L crisis of '90 marked the beginning of the K-winter, and that those two events moved him to put in action his plan to "flood the system with liquidity to try and avert the K-winter" as he promised to do in conversation with Dr. Richebacher in the 70's. due to his faulty timing, he created the big bubble instead...and thought he had the K-winter licked, another error. now that the winter is actually here, he finds out that it is a bigger force than his printing press.
