No argument here, C. Just that, right now, the jets are flying again, and we're terribly at risk, and our gov't is focusing on payback and not defense, IMHO.
Also, the airlines have thier hand out to the government today, so it is here and now that pressure may be brought to bear on them and FAA/FBI to act in the best interests of American citizens/safety.
Follow the money, as you say, is a means to cut off $$$ to terrorists and I wholeheartedly support investigations and seizure of accounts.

As I understand it, the Swiss now do divulge info; they helped unlock -and paid for- the fortunes stolen from the Jews by the Nazis.

It's also my understanding that Bin Laden's assets have been frozen for years. To no avail.... he still derives healthy incomes from the opium trade (probably funnelled through the Taliban) and from well-off financiers who are better at hiding the paper trails.
