Sam, Re: "Barton Biggs told CNBC this am that he saw no signs of capitulation yesterday. Rather it was exactly as expected and that price declines and volumes were moderate if anything in light of European action and pent-up transaction demand. He did say, however, that we may be within 5% to 10% of a bottom here. It was mentioned that his recent research note to clients suggests that the upturn will be lead by telecom and tech and that European shares may be especially attractive."

I heard all of that except for the European shares part. However, I was in the middle of something so couldn't give full attention to Biggs' words. One other thing he did say was that "they" were getting ready to start buying, I assume technology and telecom.

That Barton again! He's been reading my posts! :)

PS I believe a capitulation if I see DJIA under 8000 and the Comp under 1300. It would be specially encouraging if the huge drop happens within a 2 day period.
