if youre right, then the fate of the market will depend on "honor amongst thieves". the longer they continue to manipulate/prop up the market to save their own asses, the greater the risk that others will pull out before they do.

I don't think so. I do not know anyone that has pulled their assets out of stocks. I have one friend that finally sold her CSCO at a loss. These people that I talk to are retired and use Banks to help them manage their paper assets. Sad.
