NEW YORK (Reuters) - Online auction retailer EBay Inc. said on Tuesday it is comfortable with third -quarter consensus earnings and revenues estimates -- expectations it said includes the business impact of the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

Average analyst estimates ranged from 9 cents per share to 13 cents per share, with an average projection of 11 cents per share, according to research firm Thomson Financial/First Call.

The company also said it is comfortable with the average revenues estimate of $185 million for the third quarter. First Call places the estimate at about $185.45 million.

The estimates reflect the impact of the attacks as well as EBay's "Auction for America" charity initiative.

Hi Jer! we're just in limbo here i think until people feel that we have some control over the terrorists.

Everybody i talk to is just at their wits ends. People are scared....and they're depressed...and in shock.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a brighter day.
