Well, oddly enough, we're in the same boat. We can't fly. And we both want to avoid taking a bath by diving back into the market. And diving in could be chilly!

I'm not so sure it's just these exogenous shocks though, although they are precipitating a less than orderly decline.

Or, I should say, a less than orderly overt manipulation in order to prevent an even less than orderly decline.

This whole business about "buy stocks as a patriot". Hmmm, Does that mean those who hold them should step up to the plate and do their patriotic duty to unload them? Sure. Which is what they have wanted to do all along.

And the companies are doing their patriotic bit to keep management's stock options from going too far underwater by buying up shares at a Price-to-Book ratio of 4 or higher. Keep those options flying.

But not the planes :(

I do think that there will be great bargains soon, if not already. But perhaps not in tech. Despite his timing, NYCB is on to something with the Airlines, for example. And the defense sector is likely to boom.

But companies that the world doesn't care about aren't likely to be in the news. And at the moment, folks really don't care much about infrastructure. They seem to care about the edges. Whatever that means.

John.
