Jim, re: Both just making worse an already bad situation...and masking it somewhat to boot. I don't think it's masking anything, I think it's exposing it like a raw nerve. Note the bond markets enthusiasm for the Airline bailout (sarcastic). We are going back to deficit spending, the hotels and resorts will want a package as well. Don't get me wrong, we let the Airlines fold and we are in very deep sht. When I mentioned this morning that some folks are seriously talking a remote opportunity for a potential depression, I wasn't kidding. These are very high level folks that came out of Saturday teleconfrences with their major brokerage firm. This country needs to get itself moving, now. bin Laden in one hell of a successful terrorist, the Michael Jordan of terrorists, the best to play the game. He's got the entire country running scared. One skinny sht in the desert in Afghanistan has the 250 million US citizens afraid of their own shadow. Makes me sick. John
