Cosmo,

I agree. I was happy today to get back (almost) to my regular routine. I don't believe our VIX of 45-46 is finished with its run:

I don't know how high it's going but personally I've gone from VIX Formula 44 to Get Your Kix from VIX Sixty Six. I will be willing to deploy capital (some) if we retrace to the low 40s, otherwise I will await further rising in the VIX.

Similarly, the OSX looks like it would like to go lower. No capital commitments until we see a trend reversal in the OSX.

I have not added to any shorts yet, part paralyzed by patriotism, but in the next couple of days if I see home builders or retailers I (don't) like, I'll short them. The markets are back up and working, and following my general investment thesis for this fall: down.

Cosmo or others: ADCT is looking tempting at this level,
although more as a long term play than a trading vehicle. I see broadband connections being expanded ever more to rural America after this recent exposure of urban risk. People already wanted more broadband at primary residences and second houses outside cities. I have only bought equipment makers so far, mostly focused on the metro market but wanting a non-Bell bet. ADCT looks like a purer play on overall connectivity.
