You know, the current action reminds me of the action after the election fiasco last Nov.....everyone thought the election indecision/problems was the (main/large) reason for the deep down (at that time), and that it would soon pass or at least impvove...

Many found out later...the entirety of the issue was just a little bigger than that..

got a count? Cheery bastard. <ggg> >>>

nope, in a fast moving market 2's end up being 2's of 1, and 3's end up being 3 of 3's.

we've had it pretty good lately, if you think of the world as an ecosystem, we have 4% of the population and uses 40% of the resources, this is a trend that is long and a bubble that is taut, it is understandeable in an "ecosystem sense" that there will be shocks to get the system more in balance (don't take this wrong)

the US went thru a down period in confidence after the 60's, we have probably made a top in optimism to an even higher degree, with the "new economy" mantra.

we've had an unprecedented 18 consecutive years of rising dow tops, the flip side, which includes many financial and social implications is still manifesting itself.
